The Moderating Role of Emotional Blackmail in the Relationship between Schema Modes and Quality of Marital Life
The aim of this study was to investigate the moderating role of emotional blackmail in the relationship between schema modes and quality of marital life. The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of the study included all married female employees in a Pharmaceutical Company in Tehran in 2020, numbering 226 people that Using a census method, and according to the criteria of the study, a sample of 205 people was selected. The research instruments included a questionnaire of Schema mode of Young, Perceived Relationship Quality Components of Fletcher, Simpson and Thomas and Rahmat's Emotional Blackmail Inventory. Relationships between variables were tested by Pearson correlation test and research model using structural equation modeling technique. Based on the findings of the present study, the moderating role of emotional blackmail in the relationship between schema modes and quality of marital life was confirmed. Therefore, it is suggested that mental health professionals pay special attention to the two factors of schema modes and emotional blackmail in order to improve the quality of marital life of couples.
