A survey on the relationship between the use of mobile social networks and social health (Case study: Students at Bushehr Azad University)
In this research, social health is considered as a necessity for the healthy life of the people of the society, especially the younger generation, whose level of influence through the use of social networks can undergo changes and these changes are examined in the current research. . This variable is classified into factors such as social acceptance, social participation, social adaptation, social flourishing, and social cohesion, and the extent and impact of these factors can be examined with respect to the spread of the use of virtual social networks.
The research method is descriptive-survey. The statistical population consisted of all students of Bushehr Azad University, studying in the academic year 2012-2012. Among them, 300 random sample cluster sampling was used as a statistical sample. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire that had questions about the variables of the research and its validity and reliability were confirmed.
The results showed that there is a meaningful reverse relationship between the use of mobile social networking and social health of students. Also, among the subscales of social health, the following subscales of social cohesion - social acceptance - social adaptation and social flourish had a significant negative relationship with the use of mobile social networks. Only the subscale of social participation had a significant positive relationship with the use of mobile social networks.
