The effect of social skills training on the tendency to high-risk behaviors and social health
Students face stressful and sometimes risky situations in life that they must have sufficient skills to deal with. Social skills is one of the influential factors in healthy interpersonal relationships and public health that has attracted the attention of many researchers. Promoting students' social health promotes public order and security in the community. The aim of this study was the effect of social skills training on the tendency to high-risk behaviors and social health of high school students in Kalibar.
The research method is quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental (pre-test, post-test with control group). The statistical population of this study was all male students of the second year of high school in Kalibar city in the academic year 1397-98. The subjects were selected. Participants were assessed with two questionnaires: tendency to high-risk behaviors of Mohammadi Ahmadabadi and social health of Keys, and then social skills training protocols were performed on the experimental group in 10 sessions of 60 minutes.
The results of covariance test showed that social skills training has an effect on students' tendency to high-risk behaviors and social health and reduces high-risk behaviors and increases social health (p <0.05).
Considering that social skills training has been effective in reducing high-risk behaviors and increasing students 'social health, strengthening these scales will increase students' sociological and psychological skills and improve service practice. It is communicated and in the end it promotes order and security in the society.
