The lexical stylistics of "promise" in Meccan and Medinan Chapters (Surahs)
One of the stylistic layers is the lexical layer. The effective choice of words and their placement in Meccan and Medinan Chapters is a stylistic strategy that opens a new horizon in the expression of divine cognitions in the Qur'anic discourse. On the other hand, nowadays the most important topics that are researched in the field of Quranic history is the discussion of the Meccan and Medinan nature of the verses and chapters of the Holy Quran. The analysis and study of Meccan and Medinan chapters is related to issues such as the course of the Prophetic invitation and the cultural and social conditions of the society of the time of the Prophet (PBUH). So that in this context, the steps taken by the Prophet in the universal call of Islam can be identified. Based on this, the lexical stylistics of divine promises in the verses and chapters of Mecca and Medina was examined, considering that one of the ways of God's guidance in the Holy Qur'an is to express various promises to encourage or warn human beings. In the meantime, Meccan chapters had a greater share of divine promises, which is more about the certainty of the Resurrection and Resurrection. While in Medinan chapters, the words of promise are mentioned with less frequency, which is more about the believers and the pious.
