Online Education during COVID-19: Applying Emotional Intelligence Strategies to Deal with Academic Stress in Students
The Corona pandemic crisis has posed many challenges to all institutions of society. Measures to curb and control the corona included house quarantine, social isolation, and the closure of schools and universities. E-learning has been defined as a new paradigm aimed at continuing education during the corona epidemic. Although e-learning has many advantages as the safest type of education, it also faces many challenges. This unexpected shift from offline classes to online learning will lead to increased stress and anxiety and put a lot of stress on learners in this type of education. The aim of this study was to investigate the use of emotional intelligence (EI) techniques to cope with student stress in e-learning during the corona. The present qualitative study was performed by document content analysis method. This study was conducted by reviewing published articles related to e-learning in the Corona, e-learning challenges and emotional intelligence techniques. For this purpose, three consecutive steps were performed as follows. First, a comprehensive search was performed in valid domestic and foreign databases using specific keywords. Electronic documents and articles related to e-learning and coronary heart disease were searched and collected between 2000 and 2021. After multi-stage screening, 49 documents were finally selected and then final analysis was performed. The results obtained in this study show that the inclusion of an emotional education program in educational institutions and online classrooms to improve the learning process can reduce student stress and improve student performance. Also, the study of emotional intelligence allows students to adapt to their potential. Use with uncertain situations and various crises to achieve academic success
