Effectiveness of Schema Therapy on Social, Emotional and Psychological Well-Being among Couples on the Brink of Divorce
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of schema therapy on Social, Emotional and Psychological Well-Being among Couples on the Brink of Divorce. This study was a Quasi-experimental study with a pre-test and post-test design. The statistical population of this study included all Couples on the Brink of Divorce who were referred to the court counseling department by the rasht City Family Court, of which 40 were selected by available sampling and were randomly divided into experimental and control groups (20 persons in each group). The data were collected through the Well-being Inventory. The schema therapy was conducted during 7 sessions in the experimental groups, while the control group did not receive. The results showed that schema therapy had a effect on the improvement of Social, Emotional and Psychological well-being . Accordingly, These intervention might be effective for enhancing the well-being in Couples on the Brink of Divorce.
