Crisis management by assessing the risk of accidents in fire departments using the FMEA method (Case study of Arak Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization)
One of the first organizations to deal with a wide range of accidents is the fire department, so the personnel of fire departments are exposed to various accidents. But reasons such as manpower error, inadequate quality of equipment, lack of efficient management, etc. cause these organizations problems and accidents. These accidents generally create risk conditions in various operations, although many of these accidents can be prevented or their destructive effects greatly reduced by observing safety principles. However, in most cases it is not possible to be sure that these accidents will not occur. One of the most common ways to achieve these goals is to use risk management techniques. In this study, the use of FMEA risk assessment method for problem analysis has been considered. The FMEA method is a law-based analytical technique (pre-occurrence prevention) that is used to identify potential causes of failure and accidents. The incidents of Arak Fire Department from 2016 to 2016 have been evaluated in this way. By classifying the accidents that occurred during five years, it was found that the accidents leading to disability are at a critical level 3 in this method, which requires attention and preventive measures among the existing accidents.
