The mediating role of resilience in the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation and coronavirus anxiety in women referring to the health centers of Shemiranat
Some stressors such as diseases such as coronavirus disease because of being unknown can cause anxiety and health concerns. Recognizing the factors affecting this anxiety can offer solutions to deal with it. For this purpose, this study was aimed to determine the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation and coronavirus disease anxiety in women.Research
The research method was correlational, structural equation modeling type.The statistical population of the study included all women referred to the health centers of Shemiranat health network from April 4 of 2021 to June 4 of 2021. A total of 250 eligible women were selected by a convenience sampling method through online call and answered the Cognitive Emotion Regulation,Coronavirus Anxiety, and Resilience Scale questionnaires online. To analyze the data obtained from the evaluation of the proposed model, structural equations were analyzed in SPSS-25 and Smart PLS-3 software.
There is a significant direct and negative relationship between resilience and coronavirus anxiety, and a significant direct positive relationship between cognitive emotion regulation and resilience(P<0.01).There is a significant direct and negative relationship between negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies and resilience(P<0.01).Resilience also mediates the relationship between emotion cognitive regulation and coronary anxiety in women referred to the health center(P<0.01).
Based on the results of the present study, it can be stated that low levels of emotion cognitive regulation and resilience have an impact on increasing coronavirus anxiety in women. Also, high negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies reduce the level of resilience in women.
