The role of law enforcement in preventing smuggling of goods
Today, smuggling is a major challenge for civil society and the criminal justice system in most countries. This has been a growing trend, especially in the current century. Hence, the world today urgently needs a comprehensive and planned effort to reduce the severity of this type of crime in the community to a large extent. Meanwhile, the law explicitly mentions that prevention of crime is one of the tasks of the law enforcement force and that the ground for realizing this should be practically organized in a systematic manner. Given the importance of this issue, in the present study, the role of law enforcement in preventing smuggling of goods has been investigated. In order to achieve this goal, we first discuss theoretical foundations and different perspectives in this area, and then the variables are conceptualized in the form of a conceptual model. This research is a descriptive-analytical and library research.
