Abstract:

Security is a concept whose criteria and examples may vary from community to community. Governments may take any action to ensure security. As such, frameworks have been drawn up for how governments treat citizens. In recent decades, due to the emergence of some crimes and, consequently, the new generation of criminals, governments have resorted to harsh mechanisms in dealing with such criminals. These mechanisms have been defined on the basis of strengthening security. There are challenges; however, that prevent the government from exercising its free will against criminals. The government's confrontation and its security strategies with human rights barriers may end up against the accused or offender, since in such situations, governments usually have more power than that of human rights challenges. Therefore, the proposed frameworks are designed to minimize the conflict that arises when applying a security-based perspective, or that governments, through other mechanisms, provide security.
