Abstract:
Iran's Legislative Criminal Policy on Crimes Threatening Food Security with a Preventive ApproachAbstractEstablishment and sustainability, food security, as a human right to access adequate, safe and nutritious food, is directly related to environmental rights. In the field of food security and the right to food, there are many crimes, including food crimes and environmental crimes, which endanger food security and ultimately the health of citizens. Developed countries, meanwhile, have tended to pursue preventive criminal policies to prevent these crimes. In this article, we intend to explain Iran's legislative criminal policy against crimes threatening food security through a library method. The results of the study indicate that the non-criminal responses in question lack the necessary infrastructure to achieve the goal of prevention and criminal responses also lack sufficient coherence. The need for a special law entitled "Food Threatening Crimes" that covers food threatening behaviors is felt by the Special Court. Keywords: prevention, criminal policy, criminal law, health violations.
