A Study of Political-Economic Factors Affecting Women's Participation in the Islamic Republic of Iran

Women's political participation is one of the types of participation that plays an important role in the development process. The main purpose of this article is to explain the political and economic components affecting women's political participation in Iran after the Islamic Revolution. In societies such as Iran, where the institution of the family is still an essential element of society, women play an effective role in education not only quantitatively but also qualitatively, so they have a position far beyond the apparent characteristics of political participation in development. Are. In this regard, the main question of the present article is that what are the political-economic components affecting women's political participation in Iran after the Islamic Revolution? In response to this central hypothesis, it has been suggested that in the political dimension, patriarchy in the political arena and the structure of political power, and in the economic dimension, the economic structure of rent and employment are the most important components influencing women's political participation in Iran after the Islamic Revolution. Findings show that in the Islamic Republic of Iran, women's political participation is widely recognized. However, many social causes and factors affect it. In fact, among the causes and factors affecting women's participation, political and economic factors play the main role. The type of research method is descriptive-analytical and based on library studies.
