Identification and ranking of socio-cultural factors affecting urban waste management in Tehran (Case study: building disposal).

The purpose of this research is to identify and rank socio-cultural factors affecting building solid waste management in Tehran. The type of research is analytical which was done using Delphi panel and experts' opinions. In the first step, a list of effective factors was prepared through an in-depth study. Next, this list was provided to the panel and the number of data (KMO=0.688) and its reliability was confirmed (GFI=0.942). Then, by using AHP method, pairwise comparison and final prioritization of factors were done. The results show that Among the 9 factors, pre-university education with a weight of (1.000) has the highest score, followed by social relations (0.609), living place (0.528), individual motivations (0.457), virtual space and Public media (0.280), public education (0.191), university education (0.134), job and social position (0.104) and finally, education level (0.077) were located. Therefore, in order to achieve the goals of sustainable development and optimal management of waste in the metropolis and especially in Tehran, it is necessary to pay attention to the type of factors as well as their priority and delay. Pre-university education is the most effective factor in this field.
