Identifying factors affecting the development of entrepreneurship education in Iran's higher education system

The present research was designed and implemented with the aim of identifying the factors affecting the development of entrepreneurship education in Iran's higher education system. The current research was one of the qualitative researches that was conducted using interviews. The statistical population included experts who were knowledgeable about the subject of the research, and in order to select the research samples, the purposeful sampling method was used until theoretical saturation was reached. Finally, the number of 14 people was determined as the research sample. The data collection tool was a semi-structured interview. In order to analyze the data of the present research, coding was used in the form of open, central and selective coding. According to the coding of the interviews, it was determined that 38 codes were identified as effective factors on the development of entrepreneurship education in Iran's higher education system. After axial coding, it was determined that these factors were classified into six categories, including internal excellence, technical knowledge, motivational issues, management issues, educational transformation, and systemic issues. In other words, paying attention to identifying factors and focusing on providing these factors in Iran's higher education system can lead to the development of entrepreneurship education in Iran's higher education system.
