Investigating the effectiveness of reality therapy on the rumination of women under welfare financial coverage
Problem statement: Today, the phenomenon of female heads of the family has imposed new roles for them in addition to the stereotypical roles of women, therefore, psychologists believe that female heads of the household have both material and psychological and emotional It is difficult and they experience more stress and anxiety, which can lead to ruminations that are harmful to them, as well as the occurrence of other misbehavior in them. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of reality therapy on rumination in women under financial welfare. For this purpose, 30 women covered by welfare centers of Chalus city were randomly selected and placed in two groups (experimental and control). The measuring tool was the 22-question rumination questionnaire of Nalan-Hoeksma and Jackson (2004), which was taken from the subjects for the effect of reality therapy training (pre-test and post-test). The results of univariate ANCOVA analysis of covariance showed that reality therapy significantly reduced rumination (P<0.01, F=15.57). It is suggested that this type of training be widely used for women heads of families in counseling centers and welfare centers as well as other support organizations and institutions.
