Motivations and consequences of betting in football; Structural approach
The aim of this study was to analyze the betting situation in prediction sites (football case study). In this study, the method of structural equations was used. In the first stage, the qualitative method and the quantitative method based on the structural equation pattern were used to test the pattern. The population of this research in the qualitative section were experts and professors of sports management. Sampling method was used in the qualitative part using targeted sampling methods and snowball and theoretical saturation index. Therefore, based on this, 11 experts and professors were interviewed. In the quantitative part, in the form of a questionnaire, information was used from students of universities in Kermanshah province who had experience of membership in betting sites. The sampling method was purposive random and 385 people were selected as the sample. Findings showed that social incentives, cyberspace motivators, temptation, pleasure as motivations for the tendency to bet, as well as the consequences included social, legal and individual dimensions. Also, the research model had a good fit. Based on the findings, it is suggested that legal measures such as FATA police surveillance of sites and also to reduce the tendency of young people to these spaces to be appropriate alternative activities on the agenda.
