Analysis of social capital components in strengthening the resilience of nomadic households against drought. A study of the nomads of Neyshabur city
Introduction :
The nomadic productive system and social life face many challenges and problems, including the phenomenon of drought, including reducing the vulnerability of nomadic communities by increasing the level of resilience and promoting resilience to natural consequences. Drought can be one of the characteristics of management, planning and development that is possible through social capital.
the present study aimed to investigate the components of social capital in strengthening the resilience of nomadic families against drought in Neyshabur.
Methodology:
This research is applied in terms of purpose and based on descriptive-analytical nature. The statistical population is the number of nomadic households in the city, which was determined based on random sampling of 217 households. In order to analyze the data, SPSS software, FARAS and BMW models were used.Geographical area of research The statistical population is the number of nomadic households in the city, which was determined based on random sampling of 217 households.
Results and discussion :
The results showed that among the components of resilience, readiness with a value of 0.479 and reaction with a value of 0.331 had the highest and lowest values. Also, based on the information, it was found that the rate of literacy is among the nomadic families with a rate of 51.61, among the components of social capital, social trust with a value of 0.498, and membership in Social groups with the value of 0.389, have the highest and lowest values. Also, based on the obtained information, it was determined that the amount of social capital among nomadic families in the face of drought is at a moderate level (45.16). Finally, the results of regression analysis and path analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between the component of social capital and strengthening the resilience of nomadic families against drought, so that the most affected by social capital in the component of readiness to consult with experts. Agriculture, in the component of responding to the item of cultivation of livestock products, in the component of rehabilitation and reconstruction to the item of insuring their livestock, in the component of prevention, was assigned to the item of combining indigenous and modern knowledge in the field of drought.
Conclusion:
Finally, in a final summary, it can be said that the components of social capital have a positive and significant effect on strengthening the resilience of nomadic families against the drought in Neyshabur.
