Abstract:

The foundation of the science of ethics is based on the principle that changing ethics is possible and if a person cannot change his ethics, moral teachings and paying attention to them in the science of ethics will have no results. The question of the possibility of changing ethics has been answered by different philosophers. Jalaluddin Davani and Dashtaki have addressed the question of the possibility of moral change and the doubts surrounding it by mentioning narrative and rational reasons. The answers of these two philosophers are different to this question. In this article, after explaining the views of these two philosophers about the changeability of ethics, the reasons and evidences of each of them on the topic of the project, and then criticized and analyzed. The purpose of this article is to describe the views of these two thinkers and then compare them. The method of this article is based on description, analysis and comparison. By comparing the answers, we come to the conclusion that Davani believes that it is possible to change some morals, but it is not possible to change some, but Dashtaki believes in changing all morals.
