Prayer and Its Role in Physical and Spiritual Health

Prayer is a great place for worshiping the Lord, bringing believers closer to the Creator of the universe. Considering the fact that the Great God has provided benefits for human beings in all His blessings, and prayer is a great gift from God to His servants to bring them closer. Undoubtedly, it has certain physical and spiritual effects, investigated in this study.

In this review study, 22 articles from electronic databases or search engines such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and SID were evaluated.

Studies have shown that prayer physically brings about cleanliness, lowers blood pressure, reduces dizziness and fatigue, strengthens the body muscles, and increases happiness and cheerfulness, and on the spiritual level, prayer cures depression, increases serenity, reduces anxiety, and eliminates pride, envy and selfishness in man.

The Great God has meets the physical and spiritual needs in worship so that His servant can use them in the pure moments of spirituality of prayer. In prayer, a very high level of attention is paid to both the physical and spiritual aspects, which is a sign of God's grace and love for His servants that the health of body and soul is ensured during worship.
