Political Party from the View of Weber
The purpose of the present study is to review political parties from the view of Weber. The method of study is descriptive-analytic and the results showed that from the perspective of Weber, political party is the result of impersonalizing affairs in the realm of competition to gain power, which requires the social action model of purpose rationality and, with respect to previous explanations, the social action model of value rationality among party activists. Other models of traditional and affective social action can not substantiate political parties and their related activities. In other words, in order to form proper political parties, purpose rationality action should replace traditional action and value rationality action should replace affective action. As long as the action model among party activists is traditional and affective, this phenomenon faces some challenges.
