Exploring of Organizational Transformation Components towards Implementation of Information System in Fisheries Organization
This empirical research was aimed to provide a model of organizational transformation in fisheries, which was carried out with an exploratory mixed methods-based approach. In the qualitative phase of the study, a conceptual model of research was designed by analyzing the content of interviews with 22 experts. This content analysis was performed using MAXQDA12 software. In the quantitative phase, confirmatory factor analysis using PLS3.2.8 software was employed to validate the conceptual model. The Statistical population of this research was the experts and managers of Iranian Fisheries Organization which 125 of them were sampled using stratified sampling method with proportional allocation. The survey instrument was a questionnaire that was designed based on result of the qualitative phase of the research. The research questions were measured using a five-point Likert scale. Discriminant validity and reliability of the research tool were evaluated through Composite reliability (CR= 0/949) and Cronbach's alpha (α= 0/944) indices. The findings of the quantitative phase showed that the various components of the model are valid from the perspective of Experts and have the ability to implement in the Fisheries Organization. Furthermore, based on results, nine factors including capacity development and change management, change incentives, accountability, appropriate organizational structure, monitoring and evaluation, macro policies, participatory policies, and financial and administrative transparency were identified as the components of the organizational transformation of fisheries. At the end, future researchers are suggested to focus on identifying conditions and mechanisms of implementing solutions and obstacles to organizational transformation in order to establish an information system in Fisheries Organization.
