Identifying institutional factors influencing the emergence and implementation of social entrepreneurial activities in Iran
In recent decades, social entrepreneurship has become more important as a way to solve social problems, create social value and increase the level of human well-being, and as a result, some researchers have specifically addressed this issue. Social entrepreneurs are people who use business principles to solve social problems. In this research, the role of the environment in the emergence and implementation of social entrepreneurial activities has been investigated with an institutional approach and North's perspective. The purpose of this research is to identify institutional factors influencing the emergence and implementation of entrepreneurial activities. The current research is mixed and exploratory in terms of approach. The statistical population in the qualitative section included those people who have experience and education related to the subject and who played a key role in the establishment of the social institution. And in the quantitative stage, using qualitative results, a questionnaire was prepared and distributed among social entrepreneurs. This research has been completed in three stages: 1) research background and interviews with experts, 2) using a questionnaire to test the results of the qualitative part: the results of the article showed that "entrepreneurial attitude and social responsibility" and "social networks" from informal institutional factors and "support mechanisms" from formal institutional factors on implementation, and "new social need" and "entrepreneurial attitude and social responsibility" from informal institutional factors and "government inefficiency" from official institutional factors affecting the emergence of activity - are social entrepreneurs.
