A Comparative Study on the Monitoring and Enforcement Mechanisms of Human Rights in Iran and the US
During the last few decades, the measures taken by the international community in the field of promoting and protecting human rights have been significant. The result pf such measures has been the increased tendency of governments to human rights and their participation in human rights protection process. Such tendencies have led to different monitoring and enforcement mechanisms for human rights protection at various international, regional, and national levels. At the national level, most countries in the world have presented different mechanisms for human rights protection each of which has some differences with the mechanisms of other countries. The widespread violations of human rights and the impossibility of preventing all of them confirm that there is no completely effective mechanism for human rights protection and not all monitoring and enforcement mechanisms can monitor the enforcement of human rights rules effectively. Thus, the monitoring and enforcement mechanisms should be analyzed at the national level to achieve optimal favorable monitoring and enforcement mechanisms. As a result, this study used a descriptive-analytical method to compare the monitoring and enforcement mechanisms of human rights in Iran and the US
