Investigating the effect of Seyyed Qutb's thoughts on jihadi Salafis

Abstract:
Salafism is an extremist current that, in terms of its interpretation of Islamic society and also by creating or changing perceptions of some concepts such as jihad, takfir, emigration, infidelity, polytheism, infidelity and ignorance, has changed over time and at different times. And there have been developments. Sayyid Qutb's thoughts have played a great role in theorizing and spreading Salafist thoughts, so much so that in many Islamic countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey, etc. Sayyid Qutb's thoughts and ideas are clearly seen. Understanding the thoughts of Salafi groups is very important due to their effective role in some regional events. In view of these cases, the present article seeks to answer the question: What effect did the thoughts of Sayyid Qutb have on the jihadist Salafis? The present study believes that the ideas of Seyyed Qutb as a source of nourishment for Salafi-jihadi groups have been reproduced by some Islamic thinkers and have become the basis for the extremist movements of Salafi jihadists. This research has been written in a descriptive-analytical manner using library and documentary sources.
