Criminological study of police corruption and its prevention with emphasis on hostile countries
The police is one of the paralegal agents in the front line of law enforcement and the initiation of the criminal justice process. Considering that the police is considered as a key representative of the government, the administrative health and cohesion of the police in all societies is necessary to maintain public trust in the rule of law and maintain internal security. When police corruption is revealed or people consider it common, self-confidence and social relations with the police force are destroyed. The low credibility of the police also has a negative impact on the legitimacy of the government. Negative public perceptions of the police and the government are especially problematic in communities or governments that are experiencing some kind of internal conflict.
The present research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method, and information collection is done in a library and with the use of a fish-taking tool.
The main focus of this research is on the main causes and consequences of police corruption based on the writings of foreign experts and the doctrine presented in countries that do not have very favorable internal security. Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Latin America can be mentioned among these countries.
To increase the cohesion and loyalty of the police for the country, drawing a comprehensive anti-corruption strategy, instead of a linear strategy, the potential to increase awareness, increase rights to prevent petty forms of corruption, create anti-corruption inspections independent of the command and turn the course. These multifaceted preventive strategies in a police force facing a society with internal conflict are needed to reaffirm public support and prevent some protesters from joining armed opposition groups.
