Social capital and rural participation in spatial developments of rural settlements with the mediating role of perceived effects of plans and programs; (Case study: Esfandeh District)
The present study analyzes the effects of social capital and rural participation in the spatial developments of rural settlements with the mediating role of perceived effects of plans and programs in Esfandeh. This research has investigated the effective and influential variables in this regard by quantitative and descriptive-analytical method and by questionnaire tools. The results of the research indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between 4 variables of social capital from 6 variables and rural participation with four mediating variables of environmental-ecological, social, economic and physical-infrastructural effects perceived from the plans and programs. Also, the relationship between the social capital of the villagers on participation in projects and programs is significant due to environmental effects and the amount of this indirect effect is 0.11. . However, the social capital of the villagers does not affect the participation in plans and programs due to economic effects and the value of this indirect effect is 0.77. The social capital of the villagers affects the participation in the projects and the value of this direct effect is 0.39.
