Geometric Analysis and Iranian Gold and Zarin Proportions in Mir Gholam Hashemi Castle

The use of proportions and geometry in the body and important components is one of the most common methods of Iranian architects for correct and engineered design in order to achieve beauty and efficiency. Mir Gholam Hashemi Castle belongs to the Qajar period, which is located in the village of Hashemabad, one of the districts of Darreh Shahr, Ilam province. The unique features of the building's architecture show that the architect used geometrical principles. The present study seeks to answer the question: "How was the use of geometry and golden proportions in the construction and formation of the elements of the spatial body of Mir Gholam Hashemi Castle?” The above research method is exploratory and analytical, and library studies and field information have been used together. Also, the maps of the castle, such as plans, views and sections, were geometrically analyzed assuming the placement of focal points such as courtyards. Then the research results were measured and evaluated with SPSS26 software. The results of the geometrical analysis show that the golden ratio has been used more in locating the castle spaces and the golden ratio has been used more in determining the dimensions of the castle spaces. The results of the software analysis indicate that "Architectural design and castle construction" rank first, "Location and placement of architectural spaces" ranks second, and "Dimensions and sizes of architectural spaces" rank third in terms of the use and effectiveness of golden proportions.
