Investigating the factors affecting the conflict and its preventing initiatives in Northern Khorasan province

One of the manifestations of violence in society is struggle and conflict which is a social phenomenon More or less seen in all courses. The conflict is one of the most important indicators of the presence of violence in our societies Which takes place between people every year, according to statistics and news, it takes the number of victims. The main objective of this paper is to review the risk factors and ways to prevent conflict In North Khorasan Province, respectively. This study used a survey method, and its population, according to census Statistical Center of Iran in 1390, 867 727 people. According to Morgan and Krejcie table the sample size was 384 people living in Northern Khorasan province. In order to collect the data a questionnaire form was used. The participants were selected by multistage cluster sampling method. Descriptive statistics showed that 68 percent of respondents were male and 32 percent of them were female. In terms of marital status, 43 percent were married and 57 percent were single. The average age of respondents was 28 years. In terms of education, 1 percent was illiterate, 7 percent under high school diploma, 33 percent had diploma, 16 percent had associate degree, 35 percent bachelor and 8 percent master through highest degree. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between objective experience and the tendency towards conflict. Moreover, there is a significant relationship between tendency towards conflict and all variables of marital status, access to facilities, satisfaction with life and lack of trust towards police force. Therefore, these factors should be carefully studied to decline the tendency to violence among the people.
