Examining the opinions and views of Ayatollah Shahabadi's mystical conduct with an emphasis on nature
The concept of human nature (Fitrah) refers to one of the fundamental and essential topics among scholars and intellectuals. The present research was aimed at examining the views and mystical approach of Ayatollah Shahabadi (May he rest in peace) with an emphasis on human nature (Fitrah). This was a descriptive-analytical research conducted by library method. The research findings showed that Shahabadi proves the obligatory nature relying on the seven innate matters, overall presented within ten arguments. He approached the proof of prophethood and the public Imamate through human nature, as one of his innovations. Shahabadi also extended the foundation of the theory of human nature to the realms of self-recognition (anthropology) and practical wisdom, adhering to the requirements of human nature (Fitrah) for the immateriality of soul and providing practical guidance for spiritual journey. Overall, Ayatollah Shahabadi’s approach to the issue of human nature (Fitrah) is predominantly intrinsically religious, occasionally blended with an intuitive and mystical approach. Hence, he primarily relied on Quranic and narrative evidence.
