Abstract:
One of the Wahhabi creeds is that according to Tawhid al-Rububiyyah the pagans also believe in God theoretically and they just mistook in practice. Since the Wahhabis maintain that innately we all have a tendency toward God. This Wahhabi claim has several problems: Firstly, this innate tendency toward God is not limited to Tawhid al-Rububiyyah and it includes Tawhid in nature, attributes, actions and worship as well. So, it seems that limiting the innateness in Tawhid al-Rububiyyah is baseless and we cannot ignore other aspects. Secondly, being innately monotheistic does not mean that all humans are believers. Because if the Wahhabi claim would true, we should not have any disbeliever today. Thirdly, if there was a correspondence between innateness and Tawhid, we would not have need to prophets and Holy books.
