Analysis of production spaces in historical houses in Najafabad
In the past, houses played an important role as an important component of production in society, and production spaces in the structure of historic houses provided activities related to livelihood and family economy. The scope of this research includes the city of Najafabad and historical houses corresponding to the past life; A life in which the family strives for livelihood. This study, by looking at the structure of historic houses in Najafabad, tries to understand the relationship between house architecture and production in the past society, and provide its connection with the structure of the house. The general method in this research is descriptive-analytical method, and by collecting field data with architectural exposure to historical houses in Najafabad and library data about existing houses and past houses, it addresses this issue. The required data were obtained by observing, photographing, mapping and taking notes in historic houses, and the required information was made possible through interviews with residents and experts. In this study, first, home production in the past society was studied, then the production spaces of the historic house in Najafabad were re-read and identified, and based on that, the spatial order of the production sections in the structure of historic houses in Najafabad was studied. According to the findings, types of production spaces in historic houses in Najafabad can be divided into three categories: independent, dependent and flexible in terms of the need for connection with other spaces in the house and the arrangement of production spaces in the historic houses of Najafabad has followed the hierarchy of ownership, hierarchy of privacy-security and hierarchy of health-function.
