Abstract:

The aim of the article is to evaluate the increase in gas prices on the energy consumption of steel companies compared to basic metal companies. For this purpose, the policy implementation model in difference (DID) is based on the annual data (1390-1400) of the steel experimental group companies (code 15), which suffered a 100% price increase in the basic metals control group companies in 1397. Code 8) that the tariff rate of gas price in these companies has remained constant. Based on the obtained results, the difference of the policy implementation effect (Q) for the companies that are members of the test and control group is negative and equal to -8.49, which indicates the failure of the implementation of the policy of increasing the gas price tariff in 2017 in steel companies, and in other words . The increase in the gas price tariff in steel companies does not lead to a reduction in the energy consumption of these companies.
