Future research of border developments and Iran's challenges in providing stable border security of the country

Border security is always considered as one of the most basic and important elements of the life of the countries, and therefore the most important concern of the governments has been to ensure the stable security of these areas. Our country, Iran, due to its special geographical, historical, religious, political and economic characteristics, has been among the countries that have always been interfered by the superpowers. In this regard, Iran's border areas have been affected by security threats in various ways, and in recent years, the border developments in the region have caused challenges to establish security in the country's border areas. This research was carried out with the aim of studying the future of border developments and Iran's challenges in providing stable border security of the country in the form of descriptive-analytical research, and it was practical in terms of its purpose, and with the help of the Delphi technique, it was used to identify and rank the country's challenges in providing stable border security. has been The statistical population consisted of 15 commanders of border posts of the Islamic Republic of Iran's police forces with experience in border guarding as experts in the research. The results of this research, while determining the re-establishment of the Taliban in Afghanistan, the problem of lack of water resources in the country and the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia as the recent border developments of Iran, showed that the most important challenges of Iran in providing stable border security of the country are security and defense threats, gaps Sustainable development is the long-term stability of border areas, border anomalies and drought and water shortage. Based on this, it is predicted that in the future, these developments will play a more colorful role in Iran's challenges in establishing stable border security in the country, and in this regard, it is suggested to adopt related policies to manage these developments.
