Academic failure factors in the third base girl students in Ahwaz

This Study was carried out to identify the major factors contributing to dropout amang 3rd grade junior High school girl students in the city of Ahvaz in the academic year 2001 / 2002. 200 students who had failed their courses at least once were randomly selected from the total popula¬tion of failed female 3rd graders of the city of Ahvaz. Two measures were used to collect data: (1) a questionnaire consisting of 95 items exploring the causes of dropout and a measure to provide an index determing situation of academic failure among the target population.
