Hydraulic of Flow in Water Treatment Plant

In modern societies, water treatment plant is needed when physical, chemical or biological quality of raw water is not suitable and needed to promote water quality for sanitary and drinking purposes. The hydraulic characteristics and hydraulic profile determination of water flow through pipes, channels and different units are one of the most important problems in design of water treatment plant. Usually in order to make of hydraulic profile throughout the treatment plant, first head losses in every unit and the pipes between them are determined, then by considering flow diagram in various sections, the hydraulic profile will be developed. In this paper, the methods of head losses calculation and sketching hydraulic profile in water treatment plants have been studied.
