Corrosion Inhibition Package in Bahregansar Oil Field & 9, 10 Phases of Gas Field in Southern Pars

Corrosion is one of the main challenges in all industries, specially, in oil and gas industries. For overcoming this problem in all steps of oil and gas industries as drilling, pipelines and refineries, different methods are used such as corrosion inhibitors, cathodic protection, coating, etc. Among these methods, injection of chemical corrosion inhibitor into pipelines is the first and common method in oil and gas fields. In this paper, different chemical corrosion inhibitors were introduced and their formulations and methods of injection consumption, mechanism and effect on reduction of corrosion rate were studied.Also, corrosion inhibitor packages are used in Bahregansar and phases 9, 10 of southern Pars, were illustrated. The results of calculations show that fluid velocities in these fields are l ess than limit velocity and consequently, corrosion inhibitor can prevent corrosion effectively.
