Philosophical Semantics and the Principles of Legal Theory

Philosophical semantics is one of the important topics in analytic philosophy which speaks of meaning and theories concerning meaning. In this article, issues in philosophical semantics have been described and then, theories of meaning have been compared with some issues in the science of principles of legal theory. The topics of "words" in the science of principles of legal theory are intimately related to the issues in philosophical semantics. Thus, the author has shown their relation, and studied some of them comparatively.
