Kripke and the Concept of Rule-Following

The concept of rule-following is one of the fundamental concepts of analytic philosophy. This concept has been intertwined with philosophical semantics. In this article, the author describes how this concept has appeared in analytic philosophy and what role it plays in this philosophy. This concept, at first, was introduced in Wittgenstein philosophy, and Kripke provided a special version of it. This version suggests that there is some sort of semantic skepticism in Wittgenstein view. The author has mentioned replies to this paradox.
