Study of Geopolitical Structure in the Caspian Countries

After the fragmentation of former Soviet Union, the geopolitical structure of the Caspian countries has been changed. Each country in this region has therefore special importance, concerning geopolitical aspect. Iran and Russia have geopolitical stability, because of historical background, but three newly established republics namely, Kazakestan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan adopt making relationship strategy with ultraregional powers for endurance and independence. Therefore, these countries have different views in spite of having common geopolitic conditions. Accordingly, the main question in this article is: “What are the influential factors on geopolitical changes of the Caspian countries?” It appears that new geopolitical position of the Caspian area is related to factors such as nationality, population and economy.The purpose of presentating this article is the study of geopolitical structure in the Caspian countries, especially Islamic Republic of Iran.
