The Contribution of Family Function Dimensions in Utilization of Coping Strategies by Patients With Multiple Sclerosis

This study accomplished to determine the role of family function dimensions in utilization of coping strategies by patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Participants were 94 patients with MS selected randomly from those who referred to Health Office of Tehran Medical Sciences University during 1 month to recievce medicine prescripti-on.Family Assessment Device and Copi-ng Strategies Questionnaire were com-pleted by participantsIt was found that functional dimens-ions contribute to coping strategues according to regression analyses. Res-ults indicated that "problem solving", "affectttive involvement", and "beha-vior control" had the highest signific-ant association with utilized coping st-rategies and could predict them.
