The Shi ite and the special status of the prophet's family in interpretating the Holy Korān

Shiism considers a special rank for the twelve members of the Prophet's Family (Ahle Bayt, the twelve Imams, Peace be upon them) for the interpretation of the Holy Koran. These twelve Imams, like the prophet himself, are the selected interpreters of the Holy Koran, and are quite aware of the Holy Koran's different dimensions and its understanding. The Sunnis do not consider these twelve Imams as the selected interpreters of the Holy Koran, and just consider Imam Ali (Peace be upon him) as the interpreter of the Holy Koran. The writer of this article tries to show that these twelve Imams, like the prophet himself, are the selected interpreters of the Holy Koran. To do this, the writer has referred to the Ahadith.
