Proper Conditions for Equipping Bus Stations with Intelligent Public Transportation Information System

Intelligent public transportation information terminals are considered as effective tools for welfare of users, although it can be improved via adding more buses and decreasing of waiting time in stations. In the present survey, the conditions in which utilizing the public transportation information terminals can be more useful than adding more buses are explained. Micro simulation software is used in this research for the bus lane of Enghlab sq. to Sepah sq. as the sample of study. Findings show that using information terminals is more useful than adding more buses in improving the welfare of passengers in the bus lane under study.
