Methodology of Building an Islamic Scale (Reference Criterion); Features and Limits

Abstract:
The object of this research is to present a methodology of building an Islamic test and to verify its features and differences with other tests. The question was: Is the method of constructing a religious test (reference criterion) the same as that of the "reference norm"? In order to provide a concrete and clear answer to this question, I have examined and scrutinized the method as well as the stages of constructing and also the psychometric features of a reference criterion test (Islamic lifestyle test) so that the differences and similarities could be known. It became known in this research that the method of studying religious texts, extracting questions, screening them and the method of obtaining content validity are some of the differences between the two kinds of tests. However, cases like form validity, precision in implementation, reliability test of the entire test and reliability each of the constituents, factors analysis, statistical inferences from the data are some of the similarities between the two tests.
