A study of the Effect of Communication Skills Training Sessions on Family Function Among Self - Referred Couples of Ahvaz Well-Being Office in Spring -2008

Abstract:
The aim of this thesis was investigating the effect of Communication skills on the efficacy of family functioning in light of group interaction. The data elicited from 30 married couples who were attended to Ahwaz well being office, in spring, 2008. Family assessment device was brought into use as an instrumention of this study. In order to apply this test couples were randomly assigned into control and experimental groups. Having put the couples into related groups, the researcher administered a pre-test on control and experimental groups, at the end, and in order the experimental group was assigned to 7 session teaching programme. to gain a insight into family functioning a post test was called into question for both group. After collecting the data, the results of the tests were analyzed through running multi variation variant analyzer. The results of test were shown that: Training communication skills caused improved Family Functioning on problem solving, relationships, roles, emotional responsiveness, emotional involvement, controlling behavior and family functioning.
