Condition Of Higher Education And Science Production In OIC Members

The higher education has basic role in process of national development and balancing between different dimensions of development of countries. Therefore, the islamic countries should survey the performance of their higher education seriously and survey the advantages and disadvantages of their higher education to improve their situation in world by planning. Investigating and Specifying the position of higher education system and generating science in OIC countries are the goal of this paper. Therefore, the situation of higher education and generating science in 57 countries of OIC was surveyed in difference dimensions by database of UNESCO. The Microsoft excel was used to doing this research. The results of this research show that the position of higher education and generating science in 57 countries of OIC in surveyed dimensions (numbers of students, teacher into student, cost of higher education into gross national product (GNP), number of papers, number of researchers and expert personnel) is very unfavorable in compared with world indexes.
