The effect of self - esteem on mental health in employed women working in zimens Factory and unemployed women

Aim
This study was carried out in 1386 because of the importance of women's mental health and their presence in the society, to investigate the effect of self – esteem on mental health in employed and unemployed women. Method
To carry out the study, 50 women working in Zimens factory and 50 unemployed women were selected based on available sampling. They were given Goldberg and Hiller’s general health and Cooper Smith’s self – esteem questionnaires. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis were used. Results
The results showed significant difference in self – esteem, mental health, somatic symptoms, anxiety symptoms, social function, depression symptoms (p< %05) between employed and unemployed women. Employed women showed better states in all the above factors. More over, the results showed significant correlation between self – esteem and mental health among women. How ever, no significant correlation was found between employed & unemployed women.Language:
