A study of Relationship between total quality management and effectiveness of secondary schools principals of Tehran city

Abstract:
The aim of this survey study was to find out the relationship between total quality management and effectiveness of school administrators in Tehran. All 1732 deputy principals of secondary schools in Tehran were included in statistical population for the study. A sample of 313 deputies was randomly selected based on Morgan table. Two types of data collected through questionnaire designed, one based on principles of Deming and the other one based on the effectiveness of the school administrators. The results showed strong positive relationship between the total quality management and leadership in schools in terms of qualified teachers, helping students, constructive relationships with parents, evaluation and administrative affairs.
