Abstract:
The goal of this research is to study the status and rights of women in Hinduism and the modern Indian Laws. This is a library research. This paper tries to specify the status and status of women in various Hinduism era and describe the differences between women's status and rights in both ancient and modern Hinduism The paper also tries to review and discuss the contradictory views in Hinduism legal books on women as well as viewing woman as a mother, wife, daughter, goddess and Guru women. The paper also discusses the state of Indian reformists and historians who were forced to challenge the cultural domination of colonialism over Indian women as well as the traditional and fundamentalist Hindus who rejected any changes. In addition, reforms which were made by reformists on education, occupation, heritance, ownership and political issues, based on changes and improvement in women's status have been discussed, and the fact that in turn, those reforms provided more ground for women to work and achieve better situation and lead to pay more attention toward their rights and status.
