Abstract:
Aim
The present study aims to analyze and criticize the course of family studies in universities.
Method
. The method used in the present research is documentary and library.
Results
The results of the research indicate the advantages and benefits of family based studies in both individual and social aspects of the family life. Population, cultural evolutions, family relations, rate of marriage and divorce and the needs of youth indicate the importance and necessity of family base studies. The author of the article emphasizes that planning a comprehensive family research system is a basic need in our islamic society; because there has not been a planning system in scientific studies of family in our country.
Conclusion
The author concludes that we have not paid enough attention to the present course of study and its details. At the end of the research the following suggestions are put forward: to reform the course of family studies, to omit the analysis and synthesis lessen, to focus on Koran and Hadith sciences, human rights, family economy and also renaming the title of Islamic source study into family source study.
