Study of strength and weakness points of teacher's efficiency evaluation system

Abstract:
In accordance with governmental notice in educational programming and heavy costs for the education of children, it is important to evaluate each program and level of success of it. This research was done with the aim of finding out strength and weakness points of teacher's evaluation system in cities of Tehran province. Statistical society included all of persons who involve in education process (teachers, head teachers, head masters, exports, students and parents) form high schools of study area in 2003-2004. sampling was done by randomly clustered taken in six region form 27 cities, size of sample was 870 consisted of 300 teachers + 30 head teachers + 300 students + 120 experts and head master + 120 parents. The type study was survey method four researcher constructed questionnaires were applied with 14 questions represented. Averaged results showed that 73% of answerers were agree with the low efficiency and 23% of answerers were agree with the strength efficiency of evaluation instruction. Suggestions for remove or decline the weakness point are: increasing skills level, educational facilities and space; precede the evaluation with experts and provide the least requirements of teachers.
